When he arrived at Paradisa the first time around, Griffith remembered the twelfth floor where he was assigned high above the rest, and he had died on the fifteenth. Three weeks of absence and there were already three more floors to match. Though it wasn't the highest, the eighteenth floor was hardly fitting for a princess. Not that the countless stairs bothered him any. Even the slight exhaustion he might have felt before was nonexistent in this body ( ... )

Griffith was greeted with her sweetest smile as she accepted the flowers and offered him a prompt little curtsy. She had expected as much, for him to be charming, but the roses were a welcomed surprise. "Sir Griffith, they're very beautiful. You shouldn't have!"

Idike turned and took a few steps towards her dresser, to carefully deposit and arrange the blossom within a vacant vase. She let her fingers linger on one of the buds for a second longer before she turned back to the door and stepped outside to stand beside him.

"I have been given many gifts before, but none were as sweet as flowers. Thank you." Her eyes lingered on the door next to her own before she turned back to Griffith and sighed. "I'm not sure if Lui will be joining us or not, but I certainly don't want to keep you waiting. Shall we?"

Returning the curtsy with a graceful bow of his own, Griffith offered his arm to Idike, patiently waiting for her to accept so they could be on their way on the tour of the castle he promised. If the man named Lui had decided against coming, it only made things easier for himself without any distraction. Though he couldn't quite decide the princess's relationship with the man, the way she spoke of him caused him to wonder if her goals were not unlike his own. If so, he didn't mind at all ( ... )

Lui was planning on coming, thank you very much, and it could easily be said that the selfish prince was watching Griffith from the moment he stepped foot on the 18th floor. From a peephole perhaps? From a cleverly placed crack in the door fo room 1809? Perhaps. Either way, he was watching.

Granted, at the moment, he still believed all of this to be a dream. After all, Wilhelm was missing, and his princess was alive. It was turning out to be a rather amusing little dreamland, and he almost had to stifle a snort when he saw those roses. Offering such silly flowers for the princess who had slept in briars for 100 years... what an ammateur.

Gun in hand, nails perfectly manicured and far too long for any man or woman, his booted heel pushed his door open, not denying him the grand entrance he knew, and they should know, that he fully deserved ( ... )

"Admittedly, I've only been able to admire the stairwell and the kitchen, so I'm afraid I wouldn't know where to begin," Idike began as she accepted his arm and tilted her face up to meet his glance. "Such words! Careful General, I'm spoken for." With that aside she opted to purse her lips, as if deep in thought and then showed him another smile.

Speak of the devil.

Idike glanced over her shoulder and shot Lui a similar smile, her free arm reflexively reaching out for him before she dropped it and faced forward again. If he wanted to follow them and sulk, then she would let him to just that, but if he decided to take her hand, then it was his for the taking.

She'd been cooped up for far too long, she decided, and castle walls hardly offered her an ideal life. There was only so much a girl could take, and being conked out atop a bed for a hundred years definitely crossed the line.

"Shall we be off then Lui, Sir Griffith?"
