I didn't go anywhere, Kat. You're the one that decided she needed to hide away because an ally got turned into a species she didn't like.

Do you even know how that feels? The worst loss I've had since arriving, and you just ditched me when I was vulnerable.

The first day I was on the loss, after you and York left? The Meta was after me. He broke into my room, because he knew I was on a loss. He could have killed me.

[She just listens, quietly, and as much as she hates that she hadn't done anything about Meta, she stands by her reasoning for leaving him alone. When she speaks again her tone is very soft, and very tight.]

I left because I could have killed you.

I lost my family to the Covenant. I lost my entire planet to those bastards, and my entire life has been devoted to paying them back. Don't fool yourself into thinking it's as simple as 'a species I didn't like'. I see them -- I see them I think of everything I've lost.

I've lost a lot, Washington. I can't separate the two.

Something of the sort. Some friends and I have been working on it for a few months now. It's out on the ground in the white temp hangar if you want to come have a look. Hope you don't mind a little grease.

Well, sure, why not. Didn't know we had a hanger, though. Where's it at?

It's my own, put it up when my project got too big to fit in my room. It's in front of the grounds, the large white fabric hangar. Door's open.

I have. Come on in, Doctor, and take a look, just be wary of grease spots; I haven't had a chance to clean up yet.

Oh a little grease never bothered me! Now then, let's have a look at her, shall we? [And he'll be moving in close, looking everything over]

[She's going to take a step back and let him inspect her work. She's in full armor but it's covered in grease and oil. She's somewhat futilely wiping off her gloves with a pretty sorry looking grease rag as she looks it over as well.]

I had some help, but I figured the castle could use some air support, just in case. [That, and it gave her something to do besides 'go crazy'.]

It certainly might be. And he really seems quite curious about the huge, metallic vehicle before him.]

[HOLY SHIT where's her pistol. Not here. Great. She'd swapped it out in order to have a wrench handy on her holster.]

[So, have a wrench brandished in your direction, little dragon dude. There is a little hesitance after her whole fiasco with Washington and his Loss, however, so she's not as sure sounding as she normally would be.] You'd better hope you're a resident, otherwise we're going to have problems.

[Toothless pauses at the sudden words of hostility and looks over at Kat, blinking. He gives her a one-over, eyes settling on the wrench, before giving her this look.

Come on, seriously? Is that supposed to be threatening?]

[She's 7' and nearly a thousand pounds in armor, she's not used to being looked at like she wouldn't pass chew toy inspection. She waves the wrench at him.]

Don't fool yourself, I could dent your head in with very little effort if I wanted to.
