The Falcon? [Pause.] You made a plane?!

Something of the sort. Some friends and I have been working on it for a few months now. It's out on the ground in the white temp hangar if you want to come have a look. Hope you don't mind a little grease.

[teds_up]

Well, sure, why not. Didn't know we had a hanger, though. Where's it at?

It's my own, put it up when my project got too big to fit in my room. It's in front of the grounds, the large white fabric hangar. Door's open.

Alright then. I think-- we've talked before, but I don't remember if we introduced each other. The name Ted familiar to you?

Ted. I may have heard it around somewhere.

Name's Kat, if that means anything. Been here since October, been working on this Falcon since March.

Seems like everyone I've met has been here longer than me, or around the same time as me.

[She chuckles.] So which one am I?

Heh. Might not be a newcomer, but I'm still pretty new, compared to you.

[When he comes into the hanger, he pauses a moment when he sees Kat.]

Rookie?

[She shakes her head.] I haven't been a rookie since I was twelve. I'm a Lieutenant Commander in the United Nations Space Command, tactician and cryptanalyst for Noble Team. Here, however, I think I'll just build ships.

[She gives the hull a couple soft taps with her wrench for emphasis. It's been hard, trying to reinvent herself here.] So, what did you do before the castle?

[teds_up]

Oh, uh, no, I-- thought you were someone else. Sorry.

[He rubs the back of his neck, which comes forward to move about for emphasis when he responds to her question.]

Actually, I'm an architect. Still am.

[He presses his lips into a thin line.]

...Sort of.

She could only think of a couple residents here that would fall under Rookie, and, to be honest, she's a little offended that he'd think she was either one of them. She just gives a tight little 'hmm']

[But, it's really not something worth making a big deal over. Instead, as he continues she tilts her helmet at him.] I could use an architect's opinion, actually, if inspecting some schematics falls under your sort of.

[teds_up]

[A repressed, frustrated sigh.] I hope it is. Let me have a look.

[Well that's not a happy sound. But, she pulls out her data pad regardless.]

You don't have to if you don't want to, but I'm not necessarily an architect and so it wouldn't hurt to have a professional critique my design before I start work on it. [She cues up schematics of a planned watch/radio tower with living quarters, a workshop, and a garage underneath.]
