[The ballroom has been decked out with a stag draped in varying degrees of red curtains; the floor has been set up with comfortable chairs; and the air is scented with lilies and roses - but all in a tasteful way, yet clearly from a romance novel of this sort of thing. It's where Ashura gets his sources, so of course it ends up looking a bit like that.

Spotlights are aimed at the stage, with ample lighting left for the audience/bidders to be seen for when they raise their little cards to bid on Bachelor's. To the side of the stage was a podium, to be manned by someone from town Ashura had hired to run the actual auctioning off as he worked behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly (except for his turn).

A bell sounded, the spot light brightened, the auctioneer came on stage, and the first of the Bachelors walked on....]
