[They reach a stone monument deeper in -- or, well, something that LOOKS like a stone monument, should they brush aside the thick layer of cobwebs formed over it. It reaches several stories high, and a gaping maw of a tunnel starts right from the swamp. The boats can coast right in.
Inside, the ceilings are low and cobweb-free, though tiny spiders still skitter along the way.
And in the middle, where the ceiling arches high and the water cuts off to a plateau of stone, is an empty throne, with three smaller thrones flanking it.
The twins -- who are new to those in other groups -- scuttle up to sit in their side thrones. Joy, however, is nowhere to be seen. Neither is the Queen.
