Why my family sucks
So, my grandfather had a massive stroke on Thursday. My aunt and uncle did not see fit to tell my mother (his daughter) about it until the next day when my aunt called our house saying that it didn't look good and to prepare for the end. He's 90, so he's lived a long life, but still this is a serious thing.

It's Christmas! I'm at my uncle and aunt's house, waiting for food to be served, and all I want is to be home writing. I have a new fandom, Criminal Minds, and have never found a nicer, sweeter bunch of people that welcomed me.
And I'm missing school. I need to apply to grad school and get on with my life. So much is passing me by.

Things I hate about choir
As a choir, especially, we are supposed to make a pleasant and joyful sound. When one person's voice is so loud and so grating, heard above the others, it makes it very hard to be joyful or pleasant. Christmas is a time for giving
So this year, my small group at church is giving Christmas to a needy family.It's a wonderful thing to do, I just never realised how expensive kids things are these days. Being an only child from a relatively well to do family has caused me to not take into account just how much families may struggle to provide for their children. I just wish I had ( Read more... ) -

Oh, my fucking gods, choir is not a mother fucking daycare! 13 month olds have no fucking place disturbing us. If you can't find a fucking day care, don't fucking come!

So, my story keeps trucking along well. I have 63 of 167 cards written, which is over 18,000 words, but only have 4,100 transcribed. That is going to be hard part - getting it all typed before the end of the month. Also, I keep making myself cry as I write this beast. So, two days before NaNo began, I totally scrapped my idea that was really awesome and would have been fun to write in favor of a plot bunny that would not let up. NaNoWriMo
So, today begins NaNo. And I have to work. :( So, handwriting it until I get home and can type it up. I kind of want to do two stories this year - a fanfic and and original. We'll have to see how the time goes.

Sometimes I really dislike my pastor's wife
So, I'm in choir again this season, and our pastor's wife keeps inviting new people to be in it, even when they cannot sing. I feel badly that I cannot get past this, but I feel that you should have some latent talent to be in choir. She feels that as long as you want to sing you should be there.
