Why is it the only part of a song to get stuck in my head is the part that grates on my nerves? Right now I have the lines from Blue Scholars "Inkwell" stuck in my head. Specifically the lines proceeding to the line where they misuse "irony." DOn't get me wrong I like Blue Scholars and I really like that song 'cause it's about my town's music ( Read more... )

It's "fhase" ;)

It is ironic because he picked this cool name without having the connotation in mind of the "brief period", but the name ends up just being a phase (his understanding of the name changes).

Or I could ask Saba the next time I see him ;)

No I haven't. I saw it listed though, when I googled Inkwell to find the lyrics to the song though. I can't listen to it on my work computer. no sound. It is good?

Oh I didn't know it had a different spelling. I know that's what he meant, that they didn't think it would be short lived, but that is still, technically, not irony.

No don't ask that wont be necessary. Just an English major OCD moment. :P
