Since settling himself in his nice cozy room in City Hall, Kuja had actually been rather bored. Of course, trying to get the place too look even half-way decent was a task in itself, but nothing his expertise in good taste wasn't steadily taking care of. The lack of selection in the shops he graced were, as expected, lacking, but he would make do.

It was from the peak of City Hall that he was currently surveying the situation, the pawns below. One such player was, even now, brave enough to pass by. "How interesting," he grinned, a hand under his chin. Not just anyone dared to get so close to their headquarters. "Going somewhere?" He called down from his perch.

The Doctor, looked up, not having expected anyone to call out to him - and from City Hall no less. That was interesting; maybe Maleficent had teamed up with someone? "Yes, actually," he replied. "I'm going to go and help a friend. Well, not really a friend, just an acquaintance. Not even an acquaintance, just someone who's in trouble." Blimey, trying not to blurt things out got difficult sometimes.

"Now, miss, I'm very sorry, but I really must be running along right now. Things to do, people to save."

The corner of his eye twitched at that 'miss' comment, though he didn't make his annoyance anymore known than that. If the fool couldn't see for himself what was right in front of him -- perfection -- then he was just as useless as the golden haired puppets running around the city.

"Helping out a friend is it~?" he lauched himself into the air from there, and came down closer to the man, though he remained above ground level by staying afloat on top of one of the larger thorns, stepping on its tip just so slightly with one foot. He stood there, head tilted to the side. "How chivalrous of you. And here, most people thought it was dead, didn't they? Whatever could they need saving from with such a sense of urgency?"

The Doctor looked at the stranger above him, raising an eye slightly. Oh, so the person before him was actually male. Now he felt slightly silly, even if one sometimes couldn't tell when meeting aliens for the first time - and the man who was speaking to him now definitely wasn't human. "Oh," he said, slightly sheepish, as he was whenever he made such a stupid mistake. "You're... male. Sorry."

His eyes narrowed at the young man, unwilling to trust anyone who emerged from Maleficent's hideout so easily. "I dunno," he replied, irritated. "It might be Scar. It might be the Heartless. Haven't found out yet, but I'm just about to." Hoping the other would get the hint - the Doctor was all for being social, but not at a time like this - he continued walking.

There was a quiet sigh of annoyance, as the mage brought a hand up to rub at his temples. These ridiculous, simple-minded humans... Honestly, Kuja hated to imagine what sort of worlds they came from, what with their sub-par intelligence, lack of refinement and disregard for anything in fine taste -- he was beginning to think that most of them truly had no purpose at all ( ... )
