“No, can’t say that I have,” Woody pondered on that. He has seen some lions and other African animals on the journals, but none of them were wearing a waistcoat from what he could see. He supposed that maybe the lions could grin, but that can’t be what the girl meant by a cat that grins.

Woody looked sincerely at the poor girl it must be really frustrating for her try to understand this place. What’s worse, it’s coming from a toy like him. Though it’s when she began to cry, his heart truly sank and hurt. Woody lifted his plastic hand touched her knee in comfort, lifting his other hand toward her tears.

“H-Hey, don’t cry,” Woody spoke softly trying to soothe her, “There are many here that are trying to find a way out, I happen to be one of them. And I’m not giving up until I find a way.” He tried to look into her eyes, that were now blurred, “Trust me, if there’s a way in, there’s gotta be a way out some how.”

If only it were that easy to just stop crying she would have. Shoulders still jerking and her nose sniffling as though it would fall off, she continued to sob about wanting to go home; blubbering even, probably not making a lick of sense since her words were laced with weeping and rather incoherent. Why did this kind of thing keep happening to her? At this point, she might even take seeing the familiarity of Cheshire or even listen to the babblings of the Hatter just to be able to say she knew someone here. She might even enjoy talking with those silly cards again at this point, well maybe ( ... )

Woody tilted his head to try and get a better look at her. He did his best in comforting her by patting her knee softly. This pretty much was the best Woody could do, what with his size compared to her’s. It was fine, because he was use to it, even though he’s sure it’d probably be better if he could actually hug her. However in this case, Woody would have to wait till she hugged him.

“If it were that easy, we’d all be out by now,” Woody bought up a good point, but he knew that wasn’t going to make the situation any better. “Though I’m sure there are plenty of places that people haven’t looked yet, and it just takes a little bit of more explorin’ and expedition is all.”

Giving a small smile, Woody wanted to try his best to help her feel better. Maybe he can show her around town and make her feel better. Though he would have to make sure that only she could hear him talk. “Hey come on, it isn’t so bad,” Woody spoke to her, “If it make you feel any better, I’m willin’ to be your friend. My name is Woody, what’s yours?”

Woody telling her that it was not just as easy as a skip and a hop out the entrance to get back home certainly didn’t help anything, if anything it only made her feel quite a bit worse about the entire situation. But she was going to be a big girl and a proper lady and not make a fuss about it or cry over it; at least not right now. There was a time and place for tears and this wasn’t it, not again so soon, anyway. Frowning, though, Alice felt her shoulders slump with the realization that she was stuck again somewhere far from home and she had no idea how to get back ( ... )

“Pleasure’s all mine little lady,” Woody said as he tilted his hat to her. He’s glad that she at least was able to smile now. He just can’t have that girl be sad now, it would just ruin his day even more.

Woody placed his hands on his belt and smiled as looked up at her, “I was actually lookin’ for my friend Sora, he gone somewhere without telling me. I just started gettin’ worried about him, so I went out on the town to look for him. So far no luck though, but I’m sure he’s probably all right. He can take care of himself just fine. He’s just been acting kinda weird and all.”

Everyone has been acting weird, but at least he was talking to someone about this. Woody felt like everyone was being a little stand offish to even let him talk to them. So far his luck has only been through the journals with others. Though it still didn’t help on terms of his friends. “Though if ya need a guide, I’d be more than happy to accompany you,” Woody offered.
