“Oh dear,” Alice frowned as the doll jumped but was pleased when he faced her once more. She was about to tell him how happy she was to find someone who wasn’t fleeing at her presence or being rude, when he simply pointed to himself. She felt her heart sink a little bit.

“Oh no, you can’t talk? That isn’t very helpful right now, though I suppose it would be silly to think that a doll can talk.” Wait, no it wouldn’t; no more than a doll being able to move in the first place. “Then again a walking doll is a bit strange, too. Unless that’s a function of yours, oh and then I just seem entirely mad, don’t I?”

She sighed rather heavily, setting her chin to her palm and her elbow on her knee as she knelt. “Now I feel like I’m just as mad as everyone was in Wonderland. I might cry at that, I don’t want to be mad… Although I suppose no one wants to be mad…” She was rambling.

“I was just hoping you could help, is all. You see I’m quite lost.”

“What-Oh no no no! You’re not mad! I can talk-I just well,” Woody looked to the ground in embarrassment. As if he was a kid who got caught doing something very bad, he shuffled his boots together and rubbed his plush arm toward his side. Woody sighed. He’s been breaking the rule way too many times since he got here. Now to make it even worse, it’s a little girl. I mean sure, Woody thinks he could get away with only two people knowing he’s alive, but now this girl was in on it. He just hopes no one else does ( ... )

Well that was interesting!

“So you can talk!” She smiled rather brightly, at least had someone she could speak with now, thank goodness. It would be terribly maddening to talk to herself, after all and that wouldn’t do whatsoever. Not one bit! Blinking her large eyes at him, she even opted to tilt her head slightly as she listened to him telling her about his own situation. That was just awful, having to hide oneself from everyone because of some silly rule ( ... )

Woody chuckled this girl was certainly very cute anyway, “Well I appreciate that, it does sound a lot of fun. Believe me I always thought it would be, but the point of toys is to let the kids expand their imagination and help us come really to life in their mind! And uh, I think it’s only toys that secretly talk, but I think I have met some animal on the journals here that do talk ( ... )

Well, when he put it that way. “Oh, I suppose that’s true. Then it would be fitting to thank you for helping children expand their minds and explore their imaginations, so thank you!” She gives an awkward curtsy, considering she’s knelt down. “That’s interesting, perhaps they are from Wonderland. You’ve not met a grinning cat, have you? Or a white rabbit in a waistcoat?”

“A whole city inside of a castle? Why, that must be the largest castle in the whole, wide, world!” That just couldn’t be possible, could it? A whole city inside? Perhaps he meant a city inside the inner gates or something, not actually inside a castle itself. Well, she supposed it didn’t really matter all that much, not entirely anyway. Either way, she wasn’t home or wasn’t in Wonderland, at least the latter was a plus. “But if I’m not home and I’m not at Wonderland, and this is a whole new city… Well then I, I’m just not going to be able to… Oh, I don’t understand this at all ( ... )
