Once Cogsworth had found the button to activate the on-screen map, he gave a small agitated grumble and set off on his walk. He worried about the curse and what may have happened to change the others back on his way.

The city, however much he wished not to be here and in this posistion, was beautiful. France itself was meant to be a country of such elegance, but even he had to admit that this city alone gave it a run for its money. The citezens were elegant, more-so than those in the castle. As he went, these thoughts lightened up his mood, a small nod and a 'Bonjour' every now and then to the citezens who just seemed to look at him and walk on.

After a small while, he began to work up a sweat, his mood hindering as the droplets rolled down his forehead. It wasn't until he stopped, puffing and panting for a break, that he saw a train go by... Oh how he would kill Lumiere if that took him where he needed to go ( ... )

"Then why isn't he here yet?!" Beast shouted back at Lumiere, less than comforted by the candlestick's words. The spell...just the very mention of it...

The pacing resumed immediately, and Beast grabbed the fur at his collar and tugged at it in frustration. He was trying his best not to roar, not to simply annihilate all the furniture in the room with no concern for the consequences of the reckless destruction. But, by some miracle, he was able to restrain himself, and limited expressing his anger to pacing tensely on all fours. He growled or huffed every few moments, sounding far more like an angry bear than a man. If Belle saw him like this...what would she think?

Then came the knock at the door.

"...Answer it."

Lumiere cringed, shying slightly away from the beast at his outburst. However he did not appear fazed by his anger for long. Though he was cautious, he was certainly not scared. He drew in closer, following Beast while he paced. “The city is fairly large, Master. It is a long way from one side to the next.” He explained apologetically. “To travel across it would take one quite some time. However, I am sure he will be here soon. Cogsworth is not one to dawdle.” Waddle, yes. But not dawdle. Not when it was something as important as this. He hoped. His eyes travelled thoughtfully to the ceiling, Lumiere feeling perhaps a little regret for making Cogsworth walk the entire way. Surely he had been clever enough to notice the trains route on the map though ( ... )

And when the door opened, the plump, professionally clothed, wig-wearing Cogsworth waited with the biggest fake 'please don't eat me' smile, his eyes closed... and when he opened them, he was unnerved at what he saw.

To see the Master as Beast and Lumiere as candle... This wasn't right. He had to confirm that he was indeed human and look down at his form. You could see the confusion in his expression. "Ah."

Even though Cogsworth had mentioned the spell being broken, Beast...hadn't believed him. To see his servant standing before him, human again...it filled Beast with both hope, envy, and anger at the same time. He growled as he closed the door behind the plump head of household, and swooped around Cogsworth to make sure he wasn't seeing things.

Once he was certain...he looked away. It was too painful to think that his servant was released from the enchantment, while he was still...a monster. The rose sparkled in a corner of the living room, its pink glow making the pink wallpaper all the brighter, and casting a gentle light on the rest of the room--even the ill-tempered Beast.

The Master said nothing, and did not look back at Cogsworth for even a second.
