Carefully concealing her reiatsu, Yachiru sat perched high atop a wall that stood just inside of the Muspelheim Gate. Swinging her legs to and fro as she looked on from her hiding place, Yachiru debated on her next course of action ( ... )

Rangiku was fiddling about her journal, trying to figure iout how Kenpachi had managed to send her his two-cents worth. He'd mentioned the ryoka, Kurosaki Ichigo, who was apparently in this city as well, and a frown furrowed her brow as she tried to digest the information for herself.

And then something dropped right infront of her, startling her and nearly causing her to drop the journal -- just nearly -- as she hadn't sensed anything at all. Instinctively reacting to being caught off-guard, Ran let her hand fly to the hilt of her weapon when it finally registered:

Pink hair. Wide eyes.

"Y-Y-Yachiru?!"

(Random OOC note: Sorry about the first comment. Deleted it cos this made better sense. Rusty. Ugh.)

With a sigh Yachiru dismissed Rangiku's startled reaction. Although, honestly, weren't grown-ups supposed to be the calm ones? It had never occured to Yachiru that being transported to the city of Paixao could be part of something larger, something sinister. Instead, she viewed it as sort of a game, after all nothing bad had happened thus far, she was perfectly fine, and the new place she was in was interesting ( ... )

Ran nodded down at her little cheery companion soaking up the information given to her as best she could. Though it really wasn't making anything clearer (at least not at this point), Yachiru's mere presence -- a familiar face in an unfamiliar location seemed to lighten her mood, even a bit.

A small smile played on the corners of the 10th Squad Vice-captain's mouth, and she thought, nevermind that she was in this strange, if bright place. She at least had company now... and then there was Kenpachi to think about.

She blinked and felt her fingers shift a little -- a reflex on her part -- on the flat piece of machinery that she'd just-nearly dropped on the ground.

"Oh... Yachiru...?" She lifted the journal, a small smirk touching her lips, and flipped open the screen before turning it around to show the message she'd just received herself. "Someone you recognize?"

"Hm~?" Yachiru stood on her tip-toes, blinking at the screen of the journal, eyes flitting over the text. Only a few seconds passed before a gleeful squeal broke the calm atmosphere of the area. "SUGOI~! It's Ken~chan! But, how did you...?" A puzzled was cast toward Rangiku. Though Yachiru usually hated to admit that she wasn't able to do something correctly, her curiosity got the best of her. If the journals could help lead her to Ken~chan, then she simply would have to learn how to use one.

"If you can read what Ken~chan said, you can say something back, can't you~? I want to try!" An impatient command from the pink-haired Vice Captain of the 11th Division. If anything, Yachiru was used to getting what she wanted, grip tightening on her own journal, she waited for an answer.

Smiling, Yachiru watched, amused at the little girl's own insistence to reach who Ran knew was the most important person to her. Fallign quiet herself, she looked back to the journal and typed in a reply to the 11th Squad Captain.

If anything, Kenpachi was right, by the way things were looking, this was going to be one hell of a reunion. And hell, she smirked to herself as she clicked the 'send reply' button, in this context, was a good thing.

(OOC: Just so that no one's confused, this is in reference to Ran's reply to Kenpachi here)

Matsumoto's comment on his journal had left Kenpachi's head reeling. First Kurosaki was here, and now Matsumoto. ...Matsumoto's hinting at Yachiru being here had made him sit in his little alley with eyes wide and jaw slack in disbelief. When the initial shock had worn off, he'd clambered out from between what he believed was a bakery and a barbershop, and gone on the prowl.

The Vice-Captain of the 10th Division had said in her journal that she was near what had to be Muspelheim. Considering Kenpachi hadn't wandered far from the Gate, she shouldn't be hard to find. Everyone else here was bland-faced and blonde. Matsumoto (and Yachiru too) would stick out like a sore thumb. With his zanpakutou slung over his shoulder, Kenpachi hunted the city's streets, looking for two very welcome familiar faces. If he wasn't sure that Matsumoto'd taunt him about it for the rest of his days, Kenpachi'd likely pick the both of them up in a bone-crushing hug.

[OOC:Fa~ia! Mrawr... Kiri and I moved our little conversation forward, I think that gives Kenpachi-taicho enough time to have walked towards them. ;p Just wanted to give you a heads-up cos it seemed more plausible at the time... ;)]

A small pout appeared on Yachiru's face, she was obviously a very, very neglected child, Rangiku had opted not to share the mystical workings of the journals with her, instead the blonde lifted the journal up and away. From the looks of it Rangiku was even using the journal somehow, to talk to Ken-chan? While she, herself, still could not? The smirk that then fell upon the blonde's lips was almost too much, and even though Yachiru knew it hadn't been directed at her, she decided to take action.

A tiny hand found the sleeve of Rangiku's uniform, and gave the material a hard yank. Even if the blonde didn't teach her how to use the journals, Yachiru wouldn't tolerate her presence being forgotten, Rangiku hadn't even acknowledged her question~! How rude.

Rangiku had just (thankfully) finished sending the last of three messages to Kenpachi in order to direct him to where they were, when her companion called for her attention again. The expression on the tiny Vice-Captain's face was almost enough to make her laugh, but given the look in her eye, Ran wasn't about to bait the 11th Division's "teeny-terror" into anything -- not when contacting her 'Ken-chan', was something that Yachiru wanted -- and badly.

Rangiku tucked the journal away in her uniform and crouched down to come eye to eye with her little friend.

"Gomen nasai, Yachiru~chan," Ran patted Yachiru's head fondly and sent a sympathetic smile as she took one small hand in her own. "I'd show you how if I could, but I don't know myself how Kenpachi-taicho managed to find my journal." She gestured lightly to Yachiru's own journal. "Maybe it would be better if you ask him. He's on his way, you know."
