A few deft flicks of Jack’s dialectical machete later, there’s a neat track leading to Blissful Turners Island via Immortal Jack Cove.

Brilliant. I love this series - perfectly mad!Jack, his fabulous backstory, and all of his conniving so beautifully outlined. When I first saw AWE, I was a little disappointed in the Locker scenes, but have since come to love them. All of those lovely Jacks to play with, and somehow that seems to parallel what we do with fanfiction - everybody writes the play with a different doppelganger topmost, as it were. I'm not terribly fond of the ones that feature diapered!Jack, but it's all subjective and to each his very own.

Wonderful work - I look forward to Further Nuts ♥

Thank you!

I've always loved the Locker scenes - perhaps because I avoided spoilers and had no idea what was coming. The idea that different aspects of Jack can split off and be played with on their own is just such a gift.

And I'm obsessed fascinated by Jack's backstory. He and Barbossa always seem to be carrying so much past around with them.

All he has to do is make sure he focuses on, hmm, that one, no that one there, the one who’s about to make a perfect landing on the quarterdeck…

It was Quantum, I knew it!

Terry Pratchett would be Proud Of You.

Thanks! I worship the ground Pratchett treads on, so I'm truly flattered, love. There is something quantum about Jack, isn't there: you can know where he is, or how fast he's moving, but never both at once.

Your Jack is so perfect. Amazing! There is no use siting good lines -- if I was highlighting good ones, virtually the whole thing would be yellow. I adore how you follow the movie so exactly, giving a logic to each move and grimace. Fabulous work!!!

I'm one of the people that really likes AWE, but the closer you look, the more it starts to fall apart. This is my attempt to glue the pieces together.
Thanks for sticking with it, reccing and commenting. It means a lot.

Arms under his knees and shoulders; a red stain spreading over his shirt; the hazy realisation that he’s been shot in the chest; Hector carrying him back to the ship…

One thing I can't resist is h/c and I'm afraid I've borrowed this as inspiration for a drabble (and credited you of course). I really really hope you don't mind.

Sorry for the delay, but I wanted to be able to sit down and concentrate on my feedback. I'm so glad to read this! The ending is very intriguing. Let me point out just a few of my favorite lines:

Go back to just being voices. - Interesting. I've wondered if the Jacks were a product of the Locker or if he had some tendancies before.

Jack can just see him twinkling at Sao Feng - Great description!

a two-pirate cloud of attar of roses - I love this description, too.

smug Commodore Sparrow - Of course, the smartest one would be "Commodore."

because Beckett seems genuinely unsure and, frankly, he’s beginning to have doubts himself. - This is a great explanation of that weird little interaction.

I love how you explained how the bodies + barrels + rope came to be at escaped! Will's disposal. I hadn't considered how strange that was, though I did wonder why there were bodies lying around still.

Your scenes fit in so seamlessly, I'm convinced that they must be on film somewhere.
