It was a little surreal, Monday in London. The only tiny hint of trouble I noticed was the National Theatre closing straight after the play in the evening, instead of staying open until 11. There were lists of closed stations on the tube, and a few more police officers than usual at the railway station, but it was barely noticeable ( Read more... )

I love London. I was born in Geneva, and that's a beautiful city, in a spectacular surrounding, but London is just special.

Oh, wow, hon - that reminds me how much I enjoy London when I visit. Every single time. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully the ugliness will end soon :(

It's a great city! And I think things are slowly easing off, though the troubles have spread all over England now.

I thought they might make a nice change from fighting and looting and arson!

It'll be nice when I can be out in the evening again and not feeling really wary of groups of youngsters like I was today!
