I thought they got the balance between hurt and desperation and rage perfect - they were both so clearly walking the line between anger and hurt for so much of the episode.
If this episode doesn't win an award...well, it SHOULD have.
There were so many visual moments that I'm glad you captured in your picspam. That scene where Sam tells Bobby to shoot him? Killed me absolutely dead, because Sam *knows* he can't go back from what he's doing and he *wants* to be stopped, but they won't do it.
And I am all on fire to know what the angels' game is.
I'm just so flaily after this, and desperately in need of the next episode, even though I'm not at all sure it'll bring any comfort. What the angels are up to, I have no idea, and how they can come back from this, I don't know!
JESUS CHRIST, THIS EPISODE!!!!! I watched it this morning and I still haven't recovered! It was so amazingly well done, so BEAUTIFUL and PAINFUL and I can't stop flailing.

I think we're all going to feel like we got shot out of a cannon after the finale. I trust Kripke, but he does run roughshod over all of us, you know?
