There are three recipes in the comments now, all of which look decidedly yummy. If I can ever track it down (it was on a piece of paper, slipped in my recipe book, and it's vanished) I shall post my favourite cake recipe: it's a light ginger sponge topped with a sticky toffee topping and nuts and dried fruits. Cut and come again cake!

Guy Fawke's Night is coming up, and that's always good - bonfire cooked food, eaten outside. Probably my favourite holiday of the year!
