I have a new addition to my family - a fairly young (exact age unknown) kitten! She was found in an abandoned car in Brooklyn, NY. soapboxed was set to adopt her, but that fell through for a few reasons - so now I have a kitten!

There are many things to say, and I'm excited. For now, though, here's a photo.

A few thoughts.

Thrift-store used fur coats - at least the fake ones - always smell like old-lady perfume.

"Pimp" is *not* the look I want.

But perhaps more disappointingly - even if I let my beard grow, and I gain weight, and my hair greys, I'll still never be Edward Gorey
