Reception Time!

Steve is mingling.

Well, he's going to congratulate them and then go sleep. 'Cause... yeah.

"Hey, congrats, you guys." Steve hugs April briefly, and JD longer. "That was amazing."

"We're glad you could be there," April says, and kisses his cheek. She's then distracted by someone or other wanting to talk to her, and she turns away a bit to talk.

Steve smiles sadly. "Seriously, man. You're glowing."

JD can't stop smiling. He really can't, though the sight of Steve makes his heart hurt and his eyes can't hide his concern.

"This... this is absolutely the best day of my life. I can't help the glowing!"

"It suits you." Steve hugs him again. "Seriously. I'm glad you got this."

Jealous? A little.

"Thanks!" JD hugs him back... but not too tight. God, it feels like Steve might just break under the pressure. "I'm going to check on you later if... that's all right?"

Wedding or not, JD won't let him go through this alone.

"Awww, you kids! All grown up and getting married!" Ben quirks a grin at them both, pulling April into a tight hug. "You're looking so beautiful today. The dress... it's so you."

He moves on to JD, hitting him in the arm lightly. "Not cool, man, you almost made me cry." Ben laughs and hugs him tight, with a muttered. "Jesus. Who'd have thought four months ago that we'd be here?"

JD can't answer him. He might start crying again, and he's told himself that he can't do that again today, but God, it's Ben.

"A few months ago, I would never have guessed that I'd ever..." JD says quietly, voice tight. "I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you. I know I wouldn't."

Ben can't find the words to respond, and they're both glad for that.

"I'm so happy for you." Ben pulls away, looking between them. "Both of you." He's grinning from ear to ear. "Congratulations!"

April hugs him tightly. "Thank you so much," she whispers in his ear. "For everything."

Okay, crying again. Lots of tears.

At least they're happy tears.

"Oh, no. Not you too." Ben's voice is playful, but his eyes give away his emotions. "Seriously. Is it a goal now to try and make me cry? I mean, really."

He kisses her gently on the cheek and hugs her.

"Now I need some cake, damnit."

April laughs a little, still crying, and presses a hand to Ben's cheek. "You're totally allowed to cry. C'mon. Join the party."

The Doctor is watching everything from a few feet away, watching as these people celebrate and rejoice and smile.

It makes leaving a little harder.

He's looking for April and JD so he can say a quick goodbye but really, anyone he's ran into recently will get a hug, kiss and jelly baby before he disappears for a bit.

April sees the Doctor and immediately beelines, throwing her arms around his neck and kissing his cheek.

"Thank you. Thank you so much."

And he quickly returns the hug, kissing her once n each cheek as well. "It was my pleasure," he informs. Really, it was a moment he was going to hold dear for the rest of his regenerations.

I have to say that you two did a pretty good job as wel."

April blushes and laughs a little. "Oh, well. I think we just got a little carried away. But it was... perfect."

Seems that scruffy looking fellow's still around.

He had stepped over to a table in one of the far corners of the room for a few minutes. If anyone had been listening, they'd have heard paper ripping and tape stretching.

Eventually, he makes his way towards the happy couple, holding a small package.

April smiles brightly at him, not that she knows who he is. Anyone here is going to get a huge smile from her.

"Hello!"

JD is grinning too.

He doesn't know him either, but hell, he just got married!

"Thank you for coming!"

Maybe April knows him? At any rate, yay wife!

He grins back, because it's impossible not to respond to a smile like that.

"Just wanted t'say congratulations, miss April." Handing over the box (wrapping paper trimmed over at the folds and patched in some places, sealed with far too much tape) as he speaks.

Logan finds himself at the reception... against his will. He kind of just flowed in with the crowd and now finds himself being pushed in the direction of the couple.

"Congratulations. Again."

JD, for his part, can only stare and nearly have an inner heart attack.

OHMIGOD IT'S HUGH JACKMAN! WHO INVITED HIM TO MY WEDDING?! AND OHMIFUCKINGGOD IT'S HUGH JACKMAN AS WOLVERINE.

He's... speechless.

Logan is... confused. He glances at his hands to make sure the claws didn't come out.

April smiles and, because she's April, gives him a quick hug. "Thank you! Are you having a good time?"

She doesn't know Hugh Jackman, or Wolverine, so she's safe from the geek.

Logan looks up.

Okay, she's not having any weird reaction. So the claws aren't accidentally out and somehow only visible to everyone, but him.

The hug makes him tense and he's glad it's quick, otherwise he'd be giving an incredibly lame hug. It's been a very long time, and he just isn't positive what to... how to... well, his arms are afraid of squeezing to hard.

"...yes." Is the answer to her question even if it's not necessarily true.

JD is still staring. His wife just hugged Wolverine. He's jealous. Of his wife. "Th- thank you for coming!"

Logan winces at the squeakiness of the kid's voice and then just... walks away to... mingle? Or hang out in a dark corner.

And JD is grabbing April and whispering. "OH MY GOD THAT WAS WOLVERINE!"

"Who?" April whispers back. "His name's Logan, I met him just before the wedding started."
