There's only six or seven REAL people in any given universe...

There's a handful of people downstairs who have nothing to do with one another but are getting only one post between them, because their narration is lazy and doesn't want to make six separate posts.

Florence is sitting towards the back of the restaurant, singing softly and off-key to herself. It's quite possible - nay, likely - that she's drunk ( Read more... )

Molokov gives Florence an odd look. "What are you singing?"

"Irish love song," Florence declares, for whatever reason choosing to speak in an Irish accent. "I spent a couple of years there after I turned 18. Lovely country."

"So it is," Molokov answers with an Irish lilt of his own, albeit one with a slight Russian accent.

Florence laughs. "An Irish Russian!" She's back to her normal accent, the Irish thing being too hard to keep up while drunk. "You... are a very multi-talented man."

Giggle. Her brain is making dirty comments regarding Walter.

It's just luck... or fate really that Sue notices Ivy crying behind the plant, but she does, however, and she sits down next to her, reaching out an incredibly hesitant hand to touch her shoulder, softly.

Not saying a word for now.

Ivy looks up briefly when Sue touches her. The thought crosses her mind that she should pull herself together, not let anyone see her like this...

Instead, she rests her head on Sue's shoulder and continues crying.

The contact is needed.

Sue hesitates again. She's melting. Her heart hurts and her fingers are shaking, but her face is so calm.

She reaches around with her other arm and pulls her into a hug, trying to ignore how quick her heart is thudding.

It doesn't take too long for Ivy to calm down - she's very used to being very under-control in front of people, never letting it show when something hurt her, or upset her. It's harder, now, with her hormones going crazy, but it's doable.

She notices, absently, that Sue's heart is pounding. She doesn't give it a second thought, though.

"Sorry," she mumbles, sitting up and scrubbing at her face.

JD passed out half-way through Apocalypse Now, and he's just now waking up. People were nice enough not to try to wake him when the move ended.

Still sick and tired and overslept... JD looks up, sees April, and in his sleepy state can only smile.

He yawns, rubbing at his eyes with the bottom palm of his hand. "G'morning."

It's not morning.

April looks up and smiles automatically at his sleepiness and bedhead. "Not morning, but nice try. You sleep well?"

She's in a good mood and feeling friendly and (shockingly) not awkward.

"Damn. Good afternoon?" JD smiles a little more.

He's too sick and sleepy to feel awkward or be closed off, which is probably best for them both.

"Slept like a rock, but I missed what lies at the end of the... the river. Martin Sheen was going down a river in Vietnam to kill some Colonel gone crazy. 'm gonna have to rent that."

"Huh? Oh, the movie. I wasn't paying attention." April decides to get her pen out of the way by using it to twist her hair up into a bun-like thing. "Anyway, it's evening." She frowns. "You're not sick, are you?"

Toly has been looking for Florence and is only slightly relieved to find her in her current state. Gently, he takes her into his arms, "Florence... milaya... what are you doing here?"

"Getting pissed off my arse, what's it look like?" She takes another sip of her alcoholic smoothie. No shit. She wanted to hide the alcohol.

In her defense, she came up with that idea when she was already drunk.

"Want a sip? Tastes like mangoes."

He gently took the smoothie away and set it down, then tried to pull Florence away as well. "No, and you shouldn't have any either."

"Oi!" Florence protested. "I'm a... bloody adult, and I have a... a right to have as much bleeding alcohol as I damn well please!"

Except when she abuses it, of course.
