Booked my ticket for the FotR-with-live-soundtrack performance on 23rd February! Both this performance and the one on the following day are almost totally sold out, and they added another one on 29th March but I don't know if Howard Shore will be present there too - probably not, I'd guess. I watched the theater version and thought it was OK - not great, but not that terrible. Then I bought the DVD and it was 100 times better. It makes so much more sense and feels much more complete.

Yes, I saw it at the cinema and quite liked it even if it wasn't great - certainly better than Troy though. Thanks! :)

The director's cut is so much better than the theatrical version. Watch it and you'll see what I mean.

I'm not sure yet - where I have almost all my LotR signatures is the leather-bound hardcover book, but that would mean I'd need to take a big bag or my rucksack... alternatively I could take the DVD about the LotR Symphony which was included with the RotK EE set. Will see, I still have a few weeks to make up my mind. :)
