Questions for you lovely people

Hi!
I posted here before, and I'm in the process of getting ready to paint my room this weekend. All that's left in there at the moment is the wardrobe (unmoveable), the bed, and a teeny table.
I have a couple of questions that I'm hoping you awesome people can help with.

I say leave the ceiling white.

At the moment it's the same horrible green as the walls. My dad is pretty sure he has some ceiling paint in his shed that we can use, so I'll have to get that out.

The usual rule of thumb for ceilings is that if you want the room to appear larger and more open, always paint it a lighter shade than the walls. This means you can go white, or you can also just add some white paint to the blue and make it a bit lighter. However, in your case white might be the best option for making the room look bigger.

As for the curtains - hem tape. And if you want to avoid that bulky edge just make sure you trim off any excess to within two inches, then use the hem tape.

Sounds like white is definitely the plan. I picked up the curtains today and we had a look at them, they don't need to be taken up as much as we thought, so they should work out fine :)
