Gad, kittens!

Well, Skit the Uncatchable and Untamable has gifted us with three kittens. They're in a small space under a cabinet in the garage, well protected by the chaos that fills it. I have to move an old tv stand, lie on my belly, and use a flashlight to see them, but I believe there are three: a gray, a gray and white, and an orange one, who takes after ( Read more... )

kittens! How I long to have a cat too~~ Well, two dogs that I'm an owner of are not a good company for cats. One knows it too well, but he didn't last enough to tell the tale ;<

Kittens! At some point they will crawl out probably, right? ^-^

Awww.
She indeed trusts you - she know that your place is safe for her little family. Maybe she lets you touch the babies one day.
Good thoughts to this little tough mini-tigress! Though I have never seen her, I love this cat. She's marvellous.

The sheer amount of noise a newborn kitten can make is astounding. They sound like they're thriving - I hope you can indeed socialize them (and maybe catch Skit at some point). Is there any way to leave an old blanket or towel so she can make a real nest?

KITTENS! I'd say leave them alone for a couple of weeks, but look in on them for several minutes every day. That way, they'll get used to people, and Skit will get used to you being near them. Don't try to touch them or anything, mind, or she might move them.

Oh, and since she's now a nursing mama, she'd probably appreciate some canned kitten food. :) That way, her babies will get optimal nutrition via her.

Oh gee... well, good luck with socializing. Once you managed this it wont be a problem to get them adopted...
And after they're gone... no matter what Skit does and what names she will call you - grab her and take her to the vet to get her neutered (and keep her inside afterwards). Heat and childbirth are rather exhausting for a cat, not to mention you surely don't want more street kittens?
