It is feb. now did you get your cuff links? please say yes!! I hate getting ripped off by etsy/amazon/ebay and its happened to me two times.

I did! I emailed the girl and finally filed a complaint about her. She got kicked off etsy (yay!) and I found someone else to make the cufflinks.

What happened with your etsy/amazon/ebay stories? I've had more positive experiences with all than negative. However, when a negative experience happens it makes me not want to buy through a private seller ever. : (

college books..

I had ordered some college books on amazon for a world religions class and I never got them despite contacting the seller several time. Amazon had proof through my credit statement that I had already paid so they were able to give me credit to use to get the books through them, but I didn't get them for about a week into the class.

I do not know what the consequences for the seller were but I was pretty irked. I haven't used amazon since then to purchase but have sold some books on there.

I had a problem with e-bay but it was not that bad. I eventually got the art supplies that I ordered but it took forever, the use finally got in touch with me and apologized saying that she had gone on vacation and couldn't mail the items until she returned home.. but she had never taken the courtesy to inform me of that.. when i gave her a negative review she bitched that it was unfair.

Bah. I wonder what makes people think they can get away with things like that.

Was the girl on ebay on vacation in some magical place with no computers? : P

The girl I tried buying the cufflinks from on etsy had emailed me letting me know she was "pleased to work with me". After a month of not hearing from her was when I emailed her constantly. She eventually emailed me telling me she only checks her email once a week and her life was "too busy" to respond to emails. Yeah, didn't make much sense.
