Part of UD Plagiarized on FF.N & AO3!!!
It has just been brought to my attention by a reviewer that the beginning of chapter 70 of Unexpected Destinies has been plagiarized by the author Namikazekamui over at fanfiction.net & Archive of our Own.
Look back at the beginning of chapter 70 and then compare it to the start of her chapter 16. Now replace Dean with Harrison and angel with seraph and viola, you will find large chunks exactly the same.
This chapter of hers was posted on the 25th of April, mine was on the 29th of March. Having a look through the reviews for the fic on ff.n, I see another author has made similar claims for a different part of the fic. There are also complaints about inconsistent tenses and the like in the reviews. Gee, I wonder why? Perhaps because she's ripping off other people's stuff left and right and they're writting in differing tenses.
I'm almost afraid to look at the rest of the fic for fear of finding that she ripped off more then just that scene.
I'm just so absolutely furious right now! ARGH!
Someone I know with an ff.n account has already posted a review asking her to take it down and I've done the same on Archive of our Own. I've also submitted abuse tickets to both systems but I'm not sure this will be enough. Does anyone have any experience with ff.n or AO3? Do they take these tickets seriously and remove plagiarized fic?
