Tonight has taught me the following:

1. Guitar Hero makes me feel like I can actually play guitar. Which I can't. Furthermore, it brings out my long-repressed fantasies of being on tour. (It's kind of what Almost Famous does to me, except this time, I'm in the band.)

A few weekends ago, I went to the worst convention I've ever been to. I imagine that if one was into furries, it'd be great. However, Chris, Jenny & I are not into furries, and we soon realized after arriving at the con that the girl at Comic Book Shoppe had lied to us when she told us that there'd be anime & stuff, too.

( But it did give us a chance to cosplay! )

As you well know (because I'll never stop talking about it), this was the most amazing experience of my life, bar none. And in the linked entry (from way back in November), I covered everything that really, really mattered to that experience. But then there are those nice moments that you remember later.

( Like the afterglow of something like meeting my favourite musician. )

I hung out with Tegan (june_tuttle) for a bit today, which was nice. Also, I definitely wore a scarf, carried a parasol and wore way too much eye makeup, thanks to the MAC I got the other day. And then when I got home, I realized I looked more like a prostitute than a glam rocker (though really like neither of the two), so I took off my makeup and put my hair ( Read more... )
