Oh that is seriously fun! I love Belle's ball gown, although waltzing in pannier is pretty funny looking. :>

Haha, agreed. The ball gown was such a nice item, and a nice nod to the one we all know from the animated version. But yeah, paniers and waltz is not the most obvious combo...

That production looks so beautiful! I don't know why they didn't do costumes like that to begin with!

I know! I mean, I can see why they went for the romantic look in the original version + the animated one. It's very Disney. But the Rococo style really suited the story and the visuals, and I think both Belle's blue dress and the servants (especially Lumiere and Mrs. Bric) were much cooler. It was eye candy for a costume nerd like me.
