I've been mulling over this news story about teachers and sick notes. As a teacher, in our division, the policy is very clear. If you are legitimately sick on a snow day, you need a doctor's note. If you choose or cannot make it in, then you are free to stay home and lose the day's pay. Responsible adults will adhere to the policy ( Read more... )
