Matchu proposed on Dec 23rd. We have been running around non-stop ever since.
He proposed with a perfectly concise "Will you marry me?" on one knee after a massive wipeout while we were skating at The Forks. It was a beautifully warm night and despite the calamity of events that made us super late for our date (late baptism) it was a nearly perfect way to propose. I'm sure he was having mild palpitations as the night drew later and later. We celebrated by feeding my hungry tummy at Montana's and then went to Nana's house to let his family know.
That night was followed by a non-stop stream of announcements, dinners and family outings and as a result we didn't have any alone time together until the following Tuesday. All worth it, though.
How's this for non-procrastination? We have the church and the reception site booked. It will now cost me minimum $2500 to call the thing off! Kidding!
The Inn at the Forks will be a really beautiful place for the reception and the food is excellent. I hope our guests will agree.
It is now time to relax and go to bed super early! YAY!
