What is it about getting old?

When I woke up today, there was a commercial on TV for one brand or another of the crap that whitens your teeth, and the lady on the commercial said something to the effect of "let your age be your secret". Yeah, I completely get your point on this. If I was obsessed with getting old at this point, I'd have had to hang up my hat when I had to get dentures at 26 because well.. medication can deteriorate your teeth enamel (though they don't tell you that when you're actually in PAIN and such) and I was feeling like I had franken mouth. Thankfully I don't feel old even now. I don't get the obsession with age, I know that 30 is looming close and I don't feel any different, I'm just happy I made it this far. I'm actually looking forward to being an old grey hair granny because then I can actually dye my hair pink or purple and no one can say anything to me about it.

I don't fear age. I do fear long my sharp wit, and my sense of humor. I don't understand why people are so concerned with a few wrinkles. I have bumps and bruises and old looking spots, but I tend to treasure them. I'm 20, and I've been in martial arts since third grade. I've been a spaz for a lot longer than that.
