..... really not an expert here but I know a very good web dictionary and it goes for "sportive character" as a translation for Maksim's award? Better ask the Russian _skater's though :)

Yes, you're pretty right about the "sportive character". Maxim received this award because he didn't give up and continued to fight no matter what kind of injuries he had.)

Also how interesting to hear that they had trouble catching Daisuke, but once they did he made himself look dapper for the picture, lol.
