FSO Awards: «Russian FSO Awards» is the first independent Russian award in the field of figure skating. It is organised by the editors' board of the Russian-language website FSOnline.ru and the outcome is determined by public vote on the project's forum (
forum.fsonline.ru).
The aim of the award is to recognise the people, who made the strongest impression on fans during the season. The 'fan choice' character of the award guarantees that its outcome is not affected by national federations’ or ice show producers’ interests and does not take into account the nationality of the skaters. People from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Sweden, US, Germany, Estonia, Israel, Italy, Lithuania and other countries participated in the first installment of the poll. Among them were figure skating coaches, choreographer, journalists as well as fans of skating... No one had the right to veto decisions and everyone relied on their own common sense, taste and knowledge.
"Russian FSO Awards" have no monetary value, but the Organising Committee has prepared prizes for the winners. The prize will be different each year, and our main challenge is to find something unique and memorable, different from traditional cups, plates and figurines.

"It was very unexpected but pleasant to receive a sign of recognition from Russian-speaking fans. We always knew that we had a lot of fans in Russia, and we were glad to come to Moscow again five years later. We are very sorry that we couldn't show both our dances, but we hope that we still will be able to compete for your prize this year."

Mao is already two-time winner of this award; this time, it happened at TEB and she was in the focus of Japanese media attention; probably, that was why she was so pleased not to be asked questions about what was happening with her, but just to receive the award and wishes of good luck. She said just one word, but in Russian: "Spasibo!" :D
source The award presenters had very hard time trying to catch Daisuke at Cup of China. At the conference after the short they were swept away by the Japanese media, and later Dai was inaccessible. Finally, they managed to find him after the gala, explained the prize and asked for a photo. Daisuke meticulously undressed (took off the jacket and scarf), smoothed his hair and put on a smile. After that, he profusely thanked and bowed, like he does in K'n'C, remembered one Russian word: "Spasibo!" His coach remembered more: "Bolshoye spasibo!" The presenters quickly came up with "Arigatou! You are the best!" He brightened, put back on all his scarves and trailed off with a trolley to the hotel.
Qing Pang - Jian Tong
Wenjing Sui - Cong Han
source Chinese pairs were the most difficult in terms of communication, the picture was taken when bbs were listening to the translator. But after the translation the award had a great success with Chinese press.

Aliona and Robin have already three consecutive FSO Awards, so when they saw the familiar logo, they hurried up towards the presenters.

"Thank you very much! At first, I couldn't understand what was happening. I received an award?" For what? "So unexpected (smiles). Almost everything I do (well, except for jumps - that's for myself) - I do because I want people to understand my programs, the images I try to portray. So for me it is very important now to receive this sign of recognition from the audience. Personally I almost never look what they write about me in the Internet - no time, I'm still at school. But of course I know FSO - there's a lot of useful information.
Unfortunately, the audience won't see me on the ice until next season. Want to let my injury heal properly, so that I don't have problems in the future. But I really want to perform again in public! Thanks again for the prize and for support! "
