That's a huge disappointment. And (IMHO) it's not a very wise decision: while other ladies polish their programs for the Four Continents and the next WC she can easily be left behind. But may be she just doesn't want to be a competitive athlete, who knows.

I have a question, didn't the ISU create this year a rule saying that one skater could skip 1 GP season without any good reason, but not a 2nd one, or they'd be sanctioned?

Maybe my brain created that rule LOL but I heard something like this

May be it's about skaters who are already appointed for the GP Events? Because it seems that some countries don't take part in the GP but have athletes in the WCs.
