Also, the non-lethal ways I've heard proposed on the news so far are... fences. An elephant-proof fence? Paid for and maintained by... who, exactly?
maybe a super rich CEO/founder of a privately-held company who claims to care about enough about elephants ruining crops that he feels the need to personally make trips out to go shoot them?

GoDaddy? Tasteless! I'm shocked, I say, shocked.

Bob Parsons sounds like an all around dick.

So those hungry villagers are unable to kill those elephants for food/to protect their crops themselves because......?

They don't have elephant guns and cars to drive away when the elephant tries to trample them to death???IDK ask them since they seem to be fine with it.

You're not under the impression that this White Man's Burden meme is a novel concept, unique to this century, are you?

It's definitely old meme, and "the local villagers seem to be fine with it", historically, has been a self-serving excuse, not some convincing rationalization.

All the ~rage~ about one bull elephant is stupid. Peta is a bunch of hypocrites and if the villagers didn't like it they wouldn't have helped the guy.
