So glad that San Fran said nope, not a right, on this. I think open carry should be banned too. I really really wish they would deal with working in retail, fast food, banks, hell damn near everything that deals with customer service on the people that are so militant about gun rights. As a cashier, I shouldn't have to mentally brace myself every time a male customer reaches behind their back. And I wish they dealt with the customer I dealt with once or twice a month. Two, TWO 9 mils on each hip and a wife that was so submissive that I honestly thought she had either been a mail order, terrified of him or both. He had a really strong habit of whenever she would ask something he didn't like, he'd put one hand near his belt and she would quickly rephrase what she said so it sounded like she was asking him permission. It was so frustrating to watch and mention it constantly only to get brushed off.

He was definitely one of those customers where I always checked around to see if I had an out. He was one of the few I could tell that if something happened he would definitely try and play hero. The only time the wife spoke to me was about phones and god the way he treated her. Basically treating her like a child. 'Tell the lady what it is you want? Speak up she can't hear you.' and so on. Very rarely did you see her alone in the store without him, hell I think he'd follow her into the fitting rooms if he could.

Sadly, my experience has been that unless they are a cop (at least in my area), a lot of people that open carried or had concealed weapons were temperamental. I remember telling one cashier to just take a step back if a customer got belligerent, it takes you out of that small register cubby and if you need to run, you have the room. It was also why I hated jewelry so much. Literally no place to go if something happens.

i live in an area in which -- as far as i know -- not many people carry, so i don't have to think about these things and i can't even imagine...i'm so sorry you have to go through that. it's really not ok that people are put in a position to be afraid at work.

This is why California needs to secede (part 7,000), I'm tired of California setting progressive laws into motion only to spend tons of money and time fighting for it at the federal level.

But if we cut out progressive states, then the remainder is that less progressive. The country needs progressive states to drag everyone else forward, or to show everyone that X progressive thing isn't as scary as they thought.

California should join Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia to form the country of Cascadia lol

I miss the west coast so much, Florida is a sweaty nightmare

Good. Jayzus fuck, the morons around here who have guns - no way do they need to *conceal carry* as well, but Missouri lets 'em have right at it. Terrifying.

Yikes.

There are about nine states that allow gun possession on college campuses. Utah, Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Mississippi, Texas (not surprised), and Wisconsin.

According to the gun violence archive we've had 21,540 shooting incidents of gun violence in the US in 2016.

Jesus fucking christ! People have been able to carry in public w/o permits this whole time?!

Man, I don't even know anymore how things are going to change.
