This is why California needs to secede (part 7,000), I'm tired of California setting progressive laws into motion only to spend tons of money and time fighting for it at the federal level.

But if we cut out progressive states, then the remainder is that less progressive. The country needs progressive states to drag everyone else forward, or to show everyone that X progressive thing isn't as scary as they thought.
