These poor families. Can you imagine losing your child, especially during the holidays?

Something has to change with gun control. Well, it's going to change anyway. I don't think with this and the Aurora shootings that regulations will remain exactly the same.

Pro-gun types argue that if criminals, or people planning criminal activity, can't get guns legally, they'll get them illegally. That's true to a point, but do we have to make it so EASY? The sheer number of guns out there and lax security of some gun owners means they're relatively easy to obtain - in gun-loving areas, I'd guess a criminal might manage to obtain a gun within a couple random break-ins - and if a family member or acquaintance with bad intentions knows the rudiments of a gun owner's security measures the chances of 'successfully' obtaining a weapon are even higher.
