It's a good thing Mitt didn't show up then.

Obv. I didn't watch today's show or yesterday's show, was it as bad as I think it was? (I caught 5 seconds of Elizabeth Hasslebeck saying Obama "showing up to the debate with a pulse" was the highlight of the last 4 years and was like "fuck no, you don't".

ETA: But none of this will deflect Fox from their thesis: The entire world is against you, conservatives.

This is SO FUCKING TRUE. Has anyone else seen the episode of Rock Center where Ted Koppel talked to Ann Coulter? It was basically "WAHHHHHHHH WAHHHHHHHHHHH I'M BEING OPPRESSEDDDDDD".

Today, Ann Romney helpfully clarified that her husband had said "sharp, young," not "sharp tongued,"

I know the Romneys feel no shame in lying, but come on.

I hate the word "tender."

Also, Ann Romney has a Narcissa Malfoy-esque look of disdain on her face every time I see her.

idk, W did a pretty awesome job of never hearing a lot of the criticisms against him.

Sure, but Mitt (and his whole creepy, entitled family) have even thinner skin than W's and the Bush family, which I didn't think possible.

On reflection, though, Lady Ann has done about a million times more kvetching about their "rough treatment" and resultant hurt fee-fees during the course of the campaign than Laura Bush has ever done. And I've never heard the Bush girls express any desires to take someone to knuckle junction for accurately criticizing daddy, as if he's not a grown-ass man incapable of defending himself...

Dear God, did I just praise the Bush family? ;)

Man, I disagree with what Whoopi tends to say a lot (see, Roman Polanski), but damn that was a good question ( ... )

Absolutely accurate! I watched the new tv show, The Newsroom, and they had a whole episode just about how politicians who want my vote should be able to answer my questions. There shouldn't be any 'approved by the campaign' questions. Political office is an open, public place, so if you're running, you and your entire life is an open book. You need to be able to justify why you feel a certain way and how you arrived at that decision.
