Voodoo Fest!

Oct 30, 2010 20:48

Last night, I lost both my Muse concert virginity and my music festival virginity.
Yeah, orgasmic is pretty much the right word and I felt like I needed a cigarette afterward.

Hopefully, some of you lovely people out there got some better pictures than I did and were probably also at the barrier, but I was happy to be alive, much less where I was ( Read more... )

YAY I'M SO GLAD YOU HAD A GOOD TIME! :D

I'm seriously jealous over here though. I've never been to a Muse concert OR music festival, and I can't go until I'm able to see Muse, because THEY MUST BE MY FIRST!

Of course, that will ruin every other concert experience ever, because I'm sure they will be the best, but MUSE IS WORTH IT DAMN IT!

Anyways, I'm so glad you had a great time!!!

I'm sure you've probably mentioned this before, but what did you get the guys?

I agree with the ruining other concert experiences thing. After I saw Muse, I lost all interest in going to shows because nothing beats Muse and I used to go to shows almost every weekend. They made a huge impact.

Guess we gotta hate to love em xD That's the price you pay when you get into the Wolstenbeast, Spider Dom, and MBellz

And it's totally worth it.

God, the Wolstenbeast. The nickname is appropriate.
And Dom. Dom is an angel. <3

Matt is also very impressive, I was surprised! I was thinking "oh, I've seen videos"...not even.

WHAT NO COSTUMES!?!? I am very disappointed.

I'm glad you had a good time though. I'm so jealous of anyone that gets to see Muse because i'm still suffering from withdrawal since spring and because everyone gets the wetsuit and Dom wore normal clothes when I saw them.

I was really surprised! I expected Dom to at least wear something, but...who knows what went on beforehand, you know?

Thank you!
God, the wetsuit. People hate the wetstuit, but they really shouldn't...

That stage is so pretty! I wonder how the hullaballoons are released at outdoor festivals?

I looked up the setlist last night and cursed the fact that festival tickets are so expensive. MK Ultra and Citizen Erased!!

I was JUST thinking about Tom Kirk and his voice and how I don't think I've ever heard him talk. Even when I saw him a few days ago I don't recall him saying anything. For some reason he doesn't really look british to me, so I never imagine him with a british accent even though I know he has one. Lol I really don't know why. He seems hella cool. I'm glad you got to meet him!

Your icon! Oh my God, that is the cutest thing ever. He is too precious. ♥

*ahem*
They did have a magnificent setup and I loved seeing Dom across those screens--and all the other stuff too, of course. I have no idea how the did the balloons! I was happily surprised when they appeared. :) Someone kept launching glow sticks at important musical moments as well...

I would've much preferred New Born, but it was still good. :D

You haven't? You MUST. Here:

There's just something special about him--he's incredibly awesome. But no, you kind of don't expect that voice until you hear it. I was a little unprepared for it in person!

MK Ultra and Citizen Erased make up for the fact that they didn't play New Born (still, CREYSSSSS, fav live track ever... not that I was there, lmao). Matt's riffing during Man with a Harmonica sounds a little more epic than usual.

I'm surprised they didn't play House of the Rising Sun! o_O;;

And eeeee, you got to see Tom! I was looking for him in New York and no dice. WHERE YOU AT, KIRKY?

Glad to hear you had a good time. :D Sounds like a great first Muse experience!!!

I SOOOO wanted New Born!! I would've preferred it, actually. But no...
They didn't even do the riff for House of the Rising Sun! I was kind of surprised too. Maybe they figured we were expecting it?

I did see Tom! We kept looking and looking and then he just...appeared. The Kirk is magical!

Thank you--it was!! <3
