Voodoo Fest!

Oct 30, 2010 20:48

Last night, I lost both my Muse concert virginity and my music festival virginity.
Yeah, orgasmic is pretty much the right word and I felt like I needed a cigarette afterward.

Hopefully, some of you lovely people out there got some better pictures than I did and were probably also at the barrier, but I was happy to be alive, much less where I was ( Read more... )

YAY I'M SO GLAD YOU HAD A GOOD TIME! :D

I'm seriously jealous over here though. I've never been to a Muse concert OR music festival, and I can't go until I'm able to see Muse, because THEY MUST BE MY FIRST!

Of course, that will ruin every other concert experience ever, because I'm sure they will be the best, but MUSE IS WORTH IT DAMN IT!

Anyways, I'm so glad you had a great time!!!

I'm sure you've probably mentioned this before, but what did you get the guys?

I agree with the ruining other concert experiences thing. After I saw Muse, I lost all interest in going to shows because nothing beats Muse and I used to go to shows almost every weekend. They made a huge impact.

Guess we gotta hate to love em xD That's the price you pay when you get into the Wolstenbeast, Spider Dom, and MBellz

And it's totally worth it.

God, the Wolstenbeast. The nickname is appropriate.
And Dom. Dom is an angel. <3

Matt is also very impressive, I was surprised! I was thinking "oh, I've seen videos"...not even.

You mean them actually live? Haha I wish I could confirm/ deny that, but I could not XD

Though I'm sure they really ARE that great.

Yessss. And you will, just give it time!

You know how they're the kind of band/people you just feel you know from Twitter and interviews and such? It intensifies after you see them live.

That's ACE! I ALMOST saw them this year in Toronto, but my parents weren't willing to pay up. (EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ON MY BIRTHDAY)

Then they were in Quebec in October, but I STILL couldn't go, for it was a school night. D: They really need to visit me on the East Coast. :(

Not cool, parents! I'm sorry about that. :( But they'll be going back in studio and popping out another album before you know it!

Not to be creepy, but if they hit up Montreal again would you go there? I'm planning on it and it'd rocking to know someone else there!! *bounces* :D

That's not creepy at all! In fact, I'm flattered. xD To be honest, it depends when they go there. If it's in the summer or something, I bet I could bribe/beg one of my parents to take me, but otherwise, I strongly doubt it. (I couldn't even drive myself for about another year and a half. D:)

If they came again to Montreal, I might actually break down if I wasn't able to go. So what if it's a 15 hour drive? IT'S MUSE. IT'S FUCKING WORTH IT. amirite? XD

Thanks! It WAS all kinds of amazing!!

Seriously, that's a good plan. I mean, I'm glad that was the first festival I went to. Otherwise, it was a completely crap day and I almost didn't make it, but it was SO worth it! And, truthfully, Aerosmith was my first (two) concerts and they didn't really ruin anything (I was as into them then as I am Muse now) and I've been to lots in between. You just have to look at each for what it is and not expect something that massive if it's not that kind of band. ;)

THANKS! (Yeah, I'm still all caps-y.)

I actually haven't! I made Dom a "Team Dom" shirt (I did post it here) and happened on a box of safari band-aids (because Matt's still throwing things); Matt got skull socks and a pair of sunglass; Chris got a corn cob pipe and a magnet that said "Gotta go: the kids have chewed through the restraints;" and Tom and Morgan got glow swords. I put it all in a pink leopard-print bag that is very much Dom's. :D

OHMYGOODNESS THOSE PRESENTS ARE AMAZING! LOOK AT YOU! YOU ARE MAKING ME TYPE IN ALL CAPS AND I DIDN'T EVEN GO!

Chris' magnet sounds like all kinds of lolz xDD

What happened that you *almost* couldn't make it to the show? D: (Guess that added suspense to your day :P)

Haha, thanks! Originally, it was just the shirt, socks, and pipe, but I kept finding things and I was taking a bag anyway...
That magnet, right? I was in the check-out line and it was just "OMG, Chris!"

I'm only about two hours away and this was my first trip to NO driving. My car decided to die as SOON as I got to City Park. Thankfully, we'd left way early (because I'd wanted barrier) and had time to take care of it. But it took a lot of wrangling and the entire universe was on my side. I owe some gods something!

Oh god I can't even imagine having a car break down on me... I don't drive yet but Baby Jesus I'm nervous ! O_O

Glad you got there safely though! Did you fix the car yourself? That's pretty awesome. :P

It's not too bad; it was just being far enough away from home for it to be a problem and then knowing only one person in town (who, thank God, was home).

Oh, no. I managed to crack my radiator on one of the stupid NO streets and had to get it towed to said friend's house and then my dad came and got it with his car trailer. Dra-ma!
