Yes to internationals round ups!

I suppose the Jenners do have the sport gene in them since Caitlyn is an Olympic gold medallist.

Stevie G and Carra in Liverpool positions will be interesting.

I think it's going to be a 'boot room' atmosphere. Not necessarily them training or coaching younger players, but more like being club ambassadors, and weighing in club matters, like Bayern Munich does with its former players? I think Rodgers chasing the big servants/legends away from the club (allegedly marginalised Agger, Reina, Carra, Gerrard, Didi, etc) supposedly was another black mark against his tenure.

Yeah, definitely. Before the girls got into the orbit of PMK, they really seemed to be into sports, but then they had to be models or fronting clothing lines.

Yayyy, you and me can bitch about our teams together. Hey, that perfume you sent me was so gorgeous. As soon as the sample is finished, I'm going to pull the trigger and buy a full bottle. It's really elegant, thanks again!

Did those people at podcast also talked about wages difference in La Liga and PL?

They'd want to cut it to the bone, and just let all the foreign players go (paying over the odds for middling talent seems to be a concern amongst all clubs and their supporters nowadays), so they'd leave the big signings to the big teams. I'm with them with regards to overpaying for middling talent, and opting out of that whilst focusing on academy talent instead, or look in the lower leagues and see what happens, but for top four clubs to have the same stratification in terms of paying out like La Liga doesn't sit well with me. It takes all teams to form a league, not just the top 2-4.

Does any of you have a problem with ontdf on your phones? Not only it was redirecting me all the time but also tried to download several things :/

I'm on my phone no, and nope. Nothing of that sort.

On the side of that graph, in hard to read grey print, I see "Trollfootball.me". I know trollfootball is a Twitter a/c, but whether they originated the graph or sourced it from elsewhere I'm not sure.

Link to their website.

I don't necessarily agree. I can't see a reason why the top teams in England should play badly. Take Liverpool for example. They are one of the richest teams in the world. Absolutely no reason why they should play so terrible.

At least Bayern is genuinely a really good team. It's a bit of a shame the rest of the league can't keep up but I think everyone agrees that Bayern is currently one of the best footballing teams in club football. They're not perfect but can be breath-taking and isn't that what it's all about?

Flemish media are reporting that Spurs player Alderweireld and his wife were stalked online for years.

lol no the reason EPL has become so dang boring is that it is no longer about the game on the ground but the drama in the locker room. With Bundesliga (partially thanks to language barriers) you aren't spending all your time wondering when will be the next time Guardiola will go off on someone or whether Hummels will use his leverage to sniff around La Liga to get a new contract with Dortmud ( ... )

I do agree. The EPL has become a circus, soap opera and telenovella, all in one. The media are definitely at fault too. Transfers sagas, hypes and trainer drama get more attention than the matches themselves.

It hasn't been that way since 2010 tbh jazzypom October 6 2015, 12:09:14 UTC
In terms of say, footballers courting the press and such. That was the mainstay of Beckham, Gerrard and such. Once Rooney retires, it's the last of that sort of football player and accompanying WAG. I mean, save for the footballer who was a pedophile and the other one who was a rapist, I have no compunction about the media calling such things out? Apart from that, they've left the younger players alone. You don't see them on Hello! or OK! like the Gerrards, Rooneys, Beckhams of old. For instance, the only pictures of Harry Kane that I might see out and about are from fan tumblrs, not newspapers, where they would have been with Gerrard and his missus.

The up and coming footballers seem to have their heads down and their wives and girlfriends seem to be in professional jobs (not model/star columnist/singer), so you don't see that sort of thing anymore. The most you might see a footballer doing an interview is because of his sponsor and that's pretty rare.

I know what you mean, but I think this is more about the media. They report on the game as if they were reporting on the Big Brother house. The focus is on personalities and drama ( ... )

United players baffled by LVG's tactics

So Rihanna hasn't had much luck further up the food chain & is now trying it on with Trapp? Mess up a few times Kev, and her infatuation will fade fast! :p

Then Trapp? Trapp might be good? He's fairly low key,no? Yeah, I don't know LvG's tactics either. Gaahhh. Do you think his contract will be extended?

Kevin's a perfectly fine 'keeper, but not exactly the biggest name, hence my surprise at seeing her with him. Would she have cared when he was with Frankfurt? Perhaps I'm being too judgmental.

I'm wondering whether LvG will be sticking around. We're not doing that badly, yet there's no comparison to the SAF years, and probably never will be. I expect he'll go the full 3 (?) years; beyond that may depend on whether a big name manager can be snared with a hefty contract. It looks like Klopp is heading to Anfield.

I hate it when players are played out of position. With the exception of Lahm, it almost never works well (and even then...). Van Gaal massively underestimated Wenger/Arsenal.

I don't think you're being too judgmental. I'd be surprised if she knew even who Kevin Trapp was prior to his PSG move, let alone him playing for the very average Frankfurt.
