I was wondering if you watched Barcelona vs Atleti! To be honest, I was a bit disappointed by Atleti last night, they played dirty / really aggresive, but couldn't even get the ball in their half. Although Neymar diving in the 2nd half was annoying, too. Not mad about Barcelona winning though, I'd take any result yesterday, lol. Messi was on fire yesterday, they were very attacking.

It has already been shown during the World Cup, but Neymar has some serious PR skills. After the game te interviewer kept asking more about their relationships than the game and in the end when he was asked "¿Quién manda más en el Barça, Messi o Luis Enrique?", he replied "Bartomeu", ha.

LOL Totti, I can't believe he took a selfie during the game! Wouldn't be surprised if that was punishable with a yellow card tbh.

I'm gonna need to google some pics of Tadić, because he looks pretty good in those shirtless pics.

gossip has it that Casillas has said that he'd step aside if De Gea came in
I find that hard to believe ...

I did watch the interview (my Spanish isn't good enough to get it word for word- my listening and speaking are dire) but I understood that question! Praise! I tell people that Neymar has some soft skills and they don't believe me. After the drubbing Brazil got, and he came out in the yellow shirt with his teammate's names scribbled all over it and and deflected the criticism (because once he wore that shirt, they couldn't spew anymore hate at the team, you know? Because he visually aligned himself to his teammates- really effective) I thought how savvy he was, and it's him- not his PR people, just him. Then his forgiveness to Zuniga and the hug they did with that Colombian friendly and Neymar was all, it's past and we're good now. Impressive ( ... )

He is incredibly PR-savvy. He knows how to turn things around and have the media eat out of his hand ( ... )

I thought it was interesting how Messi said that this time the rumours don't come from the Madrid camp but from Barcelona itself (I'm not sure if he was referring to the fans or what).

Not the fans, but it's well known that the Socios haven't been happy with Barcelona for some time, I think Enrique was the straw that broke the camel's back in that regard.

Dude, Neymar- for someone who came into camp Nou as a rank outsider, especially with the noise around him, it would have been easy for the other players to go against him (especially with the tax situation with Neymar's father, and the orgy that Barcelona allegedly swayed the father with to get his son's signature) but Neymar just had them liking him. I think it helped that Neymar really liked Messi and admired Messi from time.

Some corrections regarding Malanda's death:

German police have stated that contrary to what press have claimed, the driver did have a license, and they are not confirming the 250 km/h, merely that they were too fast, and the place where it happened has a limit of 80 in rain. They did however determine that Malanda was not wearing a seatbelt.

I have doubts on the speed. If they had gone that fast, I can't see any of the three people surviving, and the two injured ones were able to communicate when they took them to hospital. And if even police doesn't confirm the speed, how would anyone know?

I kinda feel uncomfortable about Wolfsburg leaving for South Africa already. I mean, someone only gets buried once so you can't take away the only chance to say goodbye. Unless of course the family wants to do a very small ceremony.

They had apparently considered what to do (and decided not to put it up for a vote in the team because some things aren't handled well democratically). They thought it might be what he'd have wanted to (well, who knows that), and (that part I can see) that it might be easier for the players to be in another environment where there isn't an empty place in the changing room. They are also getting professional help for the players.

Also, not sure when the funeral would even be. There are police procedures against the driver, so... there might be an autopsy and all that? I can't imagine they wouldn't make it possible for people to attend.

Some corrections, Jazzy. If you don't mind XD

Juventus played Napoli and won 3-1! Roma played the derby against Lazio.

A kiss to Garcia, before Neymar called him a puta then went and OUTPLAYED Atletico. Neymar got stomped and kicked on, and played even better. That's Juanfran, not Raul Garcia ( ... )

I thought it was Juan Fran, but the newsfeeds kept saying Garcia - and I was too sleepy to protest, tbh. Will amend now.

I blew off a Spanish practice lesson for the Barca vs Atleti match and I have NO SHAME! The match was worth that and then some.

Will amend now!

I'm quite sure Crispy will tonight. I mean, Real Madrid is out and about campaigning for him (that embarrassing statement on Platini's remarks about the King come to mind) but I hope King Neuer takes it. Because reasons XD

"I just want it to be over. Neuer is the best of the lot to be fair, just to shut the Messi and Ronaldo supporters up"

THIS. And if either Crispy or Messi win it, the Culés and Madridistas will just drag this on for months.

Agreed! I'm so sick of this whole debate and I'm glad tonight will finally be over (well, after another month of debate about the results, of course). I expect CR7 to win, but on the other hand lately I got a feeling that Neuer might somehow manage to get it - from the neutral people or those who are anti-Ronaldo/Messi. Well, scratch that, now that I wrote it down and think of it, I don't think there is enough publicity related to Neuer for him to be able to win, lol.

No, there isn't. The DfB/BuLi have introduced a small twitter campaign but that's it. Even the Bayern management aren't optimistic. Rummenigge just said that he's sure that Crispy will win it.
