Maybe Rodgers could give Simeone's goalkeeper's trainer a call for some tips, he would learn a lot. If Simeone's stint at Atletico hasn't been a success I don't know what is, he probably didn't better than his wildest dreams.

Isn't that Sergi Roberto lad a bit too cute for Stoke?

Oh transfer, I don't know whether to look forward to it or to laugh hysterically at it. It would be interesting to keep up with the best rumours and see what happened with them.

Merry Christmas to you too from baby Hazard!

What's the proverb- a bad workman blames his tools? If it's not Mignolet (to be fair, he should have gotten coaching as soon as he got signed from Sunderland in terms of positioning and such like de Gea got as soon as he touched to to Manchester United from Atletico- people forget that de Gea wasn't what he is now), it's Anfield's bumpy field, or Balotelli not suiting, or him not agreeing with the transfer committee- dude, if you can't hang, gtfo.

LOL, omg. Stop. Their goal keeper isn't too shabby looking:

Okay, I'll eat my words re Stoke on second thought, I wouldn't mind a piece of Begovic

Good luck on the sweater!

I guess the less being said about Rodgers the better.

I keep hearing those Cavani rumors and I'm like,

That 'gun salute' will go down like a lead balloon in the FA. LOL.

Re: Poldi- Mancini is supposedly raiding the PL for talent, and if nothing else, Poldi would get playing time, but Mancini is a difficult manager. His tenure at City was known for its bustups, and it got so bad that the players were asking their agents to look for other clubs, so... I can't see Poldi wanting to jump into that cauldron (he can ask Boateng- who worked under Mancini before moving on to Bayern Munich).

I can't see Wenger paying over the odds though, he's never been that kind of manager - Özil aside- and Cavani is like... mad money.

Cheers for the greeting! All the best to you and yours. My gloves (first knitting in over a year) look hellishly wonky, and I've offered to rip them back and redo them, but the mister has already worn them while taking pictures this morning (it's bright, sunny but brisk). So I'm trying to finish this jumper and have forgotten how to do short row shaping. *headdesk*.

And four strikers (well, Sanogo is supposedly going away on loan) is too much for us.

Good luck with the jumper!

Also, Arsenal shared this video:

And it's the club's 128th birthday!

The Chelsea intern who designs their wallpapers and stuff did not bring it today.

i am just starting to realise that giroud isn't even that good looking

I think he's good looking but that haircut just ruins everything. And Welsh Prince is 1000x hotter than Giroud.

And some of the perhaps not conventionally terribly good-looking are very charming, like Gibbs, Cazorla and Koscielny (really nice smile, him).

I simply cannot see it happening.
Unless he wants to be re-united with his one-true-love, Mesut

Me too. Especially since we already have an English version of him. We could do with a CB but we won't able to handle two defenders getting suspensions and red cards all the time.

The PL isn't so quick to book people like La Liga though. I know that Ronaldo's issue with the PL (when he's played here) was the fact that the referees would tell him to play on, not want to award free kicks so freely, etc. So Ramos' physical game could get a bit more of an air out here. He wouldn't be as booked as readily by the referees here - but the players do push back in a way they don't do in Spain.

Woot! I saw Luiz and I thought of you. Because I know you like him, I do try and keep an eye out for any PSG news or anything to do with him.

Chile.... I baked my fruitcake after that Liverpool vs Arsenal match- and my cakes fell flat in the middle! >:(

I think my oven might have been too hot or my baking powder too stale. (._.)

Banana fritters! So nice! So envious.

Oxtail and rice! Soooo good. Have a Happy Christmas to you, too. I'm trying to get my head around this bloody jumper, then I have to drag my sewing machine out of storage and do some hoodie repairs. Ahhh!

I had to make dinner today, so it was all fruitcake and sorrel for everyone.
