Maybe Rodgers could give Simeone's goalkeeper's trainer a call for some tips, he would learn a lot. If Simeone's stint at Atletico hasn't been a success I don't know what is, he probably didn't better than his wildest dreams.

Isn't that Sergi Roberto lad a bit too cute for Stoke?

Oh transfer, I don't know whether to look forward to it or to laugh hysterically at it. It would be interesting to keep up with the best rumours and see what happened with them.

Merry Christmas to you too from baby Hazard!

What's the proverb- a bad workman blames his tools? If it's not Mignolet (to be fair, he should have gotten coaching as soon as he got signed from Sunderland in terms of positioning and such like de Gea got as soon as he touched to to Manchester United from Atletico- people forget that de Gea wasn't what he is now), it's Anfield's bumpy field, or Balotelli not suiting, or him not agreeing with the transfer committee- dude, if you can't hang, gtfo.

LOL, omg. Stop. Their goal keeper isn't too shabby looking:

Okay, I'll eat my words re Stoke on second thought, I wouldn't mind a piece of Begovic

Good luck on the sweater!

I guess the less being said about Rodgers the better.

What a lovely picture of Begovic and his cheekbones. Exactly what I need.

Stoke also has Bojan (also from Barca, incidentally): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bojan_Krki%C4%87

He is cute in an almost-jailbait-to-me sorta way. XD

Bojan is cute and apparently, this comm thirsted for him HARD a few years ago. But he's been sporting some facial hair in the last couple of weeks and it does not look good on him.

I figured Bojan was someone of note here since he has a tag! I didn't look at his old entries to see all the thirst.

Maybe the facial hair is his response to the UK's weather...he might be thinking "I have made a terrible mistake" right about now. XD I will be impressed if he can manage a full beard, though!

I'm still a bit baffled that Bojan is at Stoke but he's indeed too jailbait-y, Sergi is more my type, tbh. Lol
Bojan would have a friend though. Must be nice.

Bojan pretty much wanted to be settled at a club, at the end of the day. Barcelona kept loaning him out, and he kept getting returned. At least with Stoke, they are a PL side, and Marc Hugdes (sp) was keen to get him. It's nice to be wanted, and at the end of the day the club wanted him! On top of that, Bojan speaks English well enough, so he slotted in easily, although he's unaccustomed to the physicality of the league, but that will come soon enough. Technically, the lad is sound.

Good for him! Can't be fun if you never know where you'll end up next.

But Marc Hughes speaks a bit of Spanish (most of the Barca/la Maisa players speak dead fluent English. I think Messi is the only one who really doesn't). Stoke is looking to buy well and technical, so Barca's cast offs seem to be it.

I was thinking about Bojan at Stoke the other day and it's probably not too horrible of an idea. He can get used to the EPL with not a massive amount of pressure, and if he does well, he can transfer to another club for more money at some point. I'm sure a lot of clubs are keeping a eye on him right now. It would be better than potentially flaming out at a bigger club where there would be more pressure.

Which was a sweet balm, tbh. Because Bojan kept getting loaned out, and then sent back, and he was getting really unsettled. Marc Hudges knows a bit of Spanish (and Bojan's English isn't bad, he's having lessons, and does interviews via an interpreter.

These articles shed some light on the situation:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/stoke-city/11306204/Marc-Muniesa-and-Bojan-Krkic-bring-a-touch-of-Barcelona-class-to-Stoke-City.html

http://www.espnfc.com/spanish-primera-division/story/2209740/bojan-krkic-sr-says-son-wasnt-welcomed-by-all-at-barcelona

He's happier at Stoke and England, because the manager wants him and believes in him. Long story short.

Well, unless his dad was talking a lot of trash, Bojan might have higher aspirations than Stoke. He might be willing to stick around for loyalty, but I honestly don't see him staying there for multiple contracts unless Stoke starts going up in the table.
