Cesc was pissed off by Ramos' comments mundodeamor November 27 2014, 09:14:36 UTC
"It pissed me off that there were doubts about my commitment. Of course it pissed me off. I have played many games and been in many squads without playing. I have 94 caps with Spain -- for nine years I have always, always come, and been smiling from ear to ear. I had tendonitis in my left hamstring. If I played, what happened to Modric could have happened to me. I told Ramos that he could call me on the phone and tell me to my face - I said we had played together since the under-21s. There is no need to send messages through the press. I felt offended, and I told Sergio what I thought, but after talking on the phone everything is good ( ... )

True, Ramos should know better as the Spanish NT captain. You call up the player up and clear the air. You don't go to the press. Especially in light of Real Madrid and their whole issue with press leaks back in the day. (._.) Also he knows Cesc and Costa personally so--

You're lucky your teams have qualified! I'll cheer on Atlético Madrid and *grumble* Chelsea if my teams don't go through.

I can just see Kevin going to Klopp and saying "Coach, I found this puppy! Can we take it home, please?"

I laughing over how the news sites are framing it though. They display in their headlines that Cesc is furious with Sergio blah blah and conveniently leave out the fact that they've patched things up. :p

To be fair to Sergio though... if you were feeling that much discomfort, then maybe you should've been rested from your club's matches before and after the international break? It would've at least been more convincing.

Cesc has every right to be angry but tbh I don't really care what he thinks anyway, so...

This was me watching the matches >:(

>:( >:( >:(

I vented my spleen over twitter, NGL. I'm more furious with Liverpool than Dortmund though. Dortmund just seems to dogged with bad luck and injury, whereas Liverpool is more hard headedness and bad decision making.

Sis, I slept through my alarm as well! I would have been so much happier if Arsenal won against some other team. Damn, it's the worst when your teams play each other :(((

OP come have a cry on my shoulder jesscp November 27 2014, 09:36:38 UTC
WHY ALWAYS US?! WHY ALWAYS OUR TEAMS OP?!

I don't even have enough reason or maturity to feel happy that Arsenal baes got a win, because Dortmund didn't even fucking play properly last night and this worries me so much. We didn't even look like a proper league team, I've seen better displays from little kids playing Sunday football.

I know everyone bangs on BvB being more than just Mats and Marco, but with Both guys out and being injured, last nights display really proved that in my eyes they really do hold this team together. I can't even find appropriate words for it but it was a total shambles. On a positive note, arsenal finally looked like a proper team, but dd they really or were Dortmund just so incapable that it made them look good?! Who knows.

I am fucking side eyeing Klopp to here and Sunday right now, I usually say nothing bad about his tactics because I really like him so much And he has been my guilty older man crush for ages why am I admitting this on the Internet?! But I really don't understand what the fuck he is ( ... )

Mate, MAAAAAAAATE, I don't even know anymore.

With Dortmund, yeah, Mats and Marco -two players really shouldn't be the heart of the team. Like, the way how teams are it should be that okay, if two players go down, you have a restive period and then sort it all out. In twelve games, Dortmund hasn't sorted it all out. With the Champions League matches, that was their shining moment - and they're crapping on that too. Ugh, Dortmund, I still have strong love for you but you're killing me.

Liverpool *kiss teeth*.

It's getting to the point wherever I tune in for the Liverpool games, I feel uneasy, stomach queasy, knowing that we're going to make a shambles of it. Like, last night, Liverpool were two up in the first half, and I knew, I just knew that they were going to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I'm side eyeing Rodgers, truly, because Suárez left from August, so the whole, missing Suárez issue shouldn't be an issue. He's been gone four months now, stop acting punch drunk and sort it out. Sturridge hasn't played since ( ... )

WAAAH OP your dedication to Liverpool! I have to say, I don't really follow Liverpool that much, I just know they are having a shit time of it currently and I think the press are slowly getting over the 'let's blame Balotelli for everything' phase ( ... )

Why does Rodgers want to play like the Spanish when he is in the EPL.

You asked for it!

In a nutshell, the English style of football can be quite unattractive. You don't really see it in the PL at the moment, because of the foreign coaches bringing their own flavour to the game circa 2005. The English style of football (that you can see markedly in the lower leagues) is characterized by the following: long balls, hoofing it box to box, tackling (although the FA have cracked down on it) and a woeful first touch and passing. In addition, the English tend to grind out a win. You get a goal, and you lock down and protect it, so the (traditional) English games tended to have low scoring (eg. 1-0, 0-0, 2-1) not the blow out scores like they have now.

For Spanish football, it's the opposite. It's more a tactical league, in that they do utilize passing and possession (liiiike Barca and the Basque teams). You find that they have a glorious first touch, and the concept of tackling, or recurso is used as a last resort, as in, when you ( ... )

Man... Reus wants to win things jazzypom November 27 2014, 10:05:13 UTC
With Dortmund as it stands right now, that's not going to happen. Reus wants a champions league trophy, as well as a domestic league trophy. Bayern Munich seems to be the only game in Deutschland at the mo. In addition, Chelsea seems to be able to manage their player's injuries well enough, and Mourinho seems to do right by the player that he likes. To be honest, I'd rather Reus go to another League than bloody Bayern Munich.

The thought of Marco wearing the yellow Chelsea kit feels so wrong and horrible. Also I really don't like Chelsea that much as a team, but I really like Marco, so it would be a massive issue as in supporting 1 player but not the team?! Ugh. I do agree though - I think it would be better for him to go to another league and I only think he will get regular playing time in EPL - too many big names and egos in La Liga right now.

The problem is, Mr broken glass is gonna have a whale of a time in the EPL... I would be shocked if he ever got through a game without an injury, seeing as he cant get through a BuLi game right now!

I think Reus tends to come back before he should.

For all of Mourinho's machinations, his players don't seem to be racked by injury, not like say Arsenal or Manchester United. Jose Mourinho is a guy who buys early, buys well, and seems to rotate his players. In addition to that, he's really good at listening to his doctors/medical staff* when it comes to his players. You won't find him doing like Brendan Rodgers and his medical team did, by trying to rush Sturridge into healing (only for him to reinjure his thigh again) because they need him. Reus won't have that worry like there seems to be over there in Dortmund.

*National team dodginess aside
