"The whole teleporting thing is getting really, really annoying."
Forcing herself to her feet she eyed him off. He had known where she was, some kind of heat vision in that mask? Or maybe he had detection powers similar to hers, a sensetivity to the invisible spectrum? Either way invisibility wasn't working for her. It was time to kick things up a notch.
"Alright play times over."
Dropping the field around her instead she rode on one under her moving quickly towards him she projected another forcefield, this one aimed in his throat, lets see how fast he was while losing oxygen at a rapid rate. She floated a few metres in front of him as she kept her focus on the field.
"Game over."

Oh. Oh damn.
She was good.
He might not even be able to beat her.
Well. She wanted gloves off, who was he to argue?
Teleporting away again just a second or two after she used the trick, a while hail of crimson, X-shaped shuriken accosted her from the right.
"Lighten up, cutie. Aren't you having any fun with this?"
A split-second later, he was to her left, and much closer than before. Aiming at her body and hands, he fired not one, but two of the goopy-X-blasts. Even the full strength of an elephant would struggle to escape the level of adhesion that the blasts possessed. She might be able to use her own powers against him, but what use would it be if he could teleport, too?

Couldn't have cared less, in fact.
So when the alarms blared, Kurama was on his feet in an instant, pausing only momentarily - long enough for his mother to catch up with him - before making straight for the most likely area for a fight.
Wasn't hard to find, with the shouting and the - were those explosions? Kurama shivered, his hands twitching towards the heavy revolvers on his waist. Oh, he'd been waiting for an opportunity like this...
He darted into the corridor, drawing the revolvers almost too quickly to see, and sighted - absently noting another woman, one he was sure he should probably recognize, but since when had he ever paid any attention to the other members of the commission? - but dropped his hands a moment later in disgust.
"Fuck," he complained. "This is why I hate patrol duty."
The guy was tiny. It'd be like... Well, it wouldn't be any fun.
What was the point in that?
