I stumbled upon a blog that shows these charming French prints circa 1910 in which an artist attempts to predict the future, here: http://www.paleofuture.com/2007/09/french-prints-show-year-2000-1910.htmlRead more... )

I've heard that about caffeine, but the other side effects make it not so great an idea! I mean, one of the SlimQuick brand items is basically just caffeine shots... complete with warnings about dizziness, heart attack, etc.!

I love breakfast-for-dinner. Last week sometime we had breakfast sandwiches for dinner, and they were amazing. =o)

Well, the most caffeine I have in a day is a cup of tea or two, so it's nice to think that might have some other benefit... but of course it probably doesn't...

I love breakfast sandwiches :).

Those prints are WONDERFUL. I love things like that. I'm taking FR 203 with Jeorg this semester, and she's basing the whole class on the way we (the Royal we) look at images--art, advertisements, etc. It's really neat; I'm fascinated by stuff like that. I'm going to pass that link on to her; I think she'd enjoy it.

I'm so jealous of your Waldenbooks excursion. AND MOLESKINE! I adore them! You'll enjoy "The Time Traveler's Wife," I'm sure. It's breathtakingly beautiful; the last chapter goes on my list of Top-10-Most-Beautiful-Scenes-In-Literary-History. It's devastatingly sad at times, but completely worth it.

I'm glad to hear that about caffeine. My coffee addiction has grown exponentially this semester. It's a little scary.
