Martin Scorsese's eyebrows (at first I thought they were flip-up sunglasses).

Cate Blanchette chomping on gum in the audience.

Tight skirts! Cate and Gwyneth could barely walk in those suckers

OK, now I have seen the compilation, where they cut out everything fun, such as Ellen's bits and musical numbers. At least I now know who won. But what was Kirsten Dunst wearing?? Looked BAD. I love Helen Mirren. I thought she was so classy.
Speaking of classy, do you know what annoyed me through the whole show? Nominees applauding themselves. You just don't do that. The only category where none of the nominees applauded when they themselves were presented was best director. Those guys (yes, all men) had some grace. When we were kids we always used to say "Only communists applaud themselves" (not very PC, I know).

I think they were applauding each other. Maybe. But yes, I noticed that too. Maybe it's awkward to just STAND there, lol.

Hey, you can be as un-PC as you want on this blog. I'm so siiiick of PC I could scream.

I know. I HATED it! But I loooved Babel and only three other people in the world liked it as much as I did. Go figure.
