Having a full staff sure makes one hell of a difference. We can have some hot food for a while.

In deference to our Jewish passengers or others wishing to celebrate the holiday, the kitchen will be serving a separate kosher menu for Passover week, with foods traditional for Seder. I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about.If you have any ( Read more... )

Hey, you never know. I've noticed Jews aren't all that vocal about being Jews. Probably has something to do with centuries of religious persecution.

It's got something to do with the way the animals were killed. Humanely or something. I dunno.

It's a religious thing. You know, like praying or taking holy communion in church. They make sure the animals are in as little pain as possible when they die. Supposed to make people better. More wholesome, you know what I mean?

They've got all kinds of rules. Don't eat this, don't wear that, keep your house clean. Very strict people, Jews.

I don't know exactly what's kosher and what isn't. Nothing from pigs, and there are some pickles that aren't kosher, right? But I assume there's more to it.

It's got to do with how the animal's killed and prepared, and whether it's clean or unclean. I dunno. I'm sure the library's got some books for you.
