A long weekend.
One good thing about the craziness of work for the first part of this year (and a fair part of last year too for that matter) is that now that it's over - or at least, winding down, - I not only may use holidays, but have a fair amount left to take.
So it was that I could take a couple of days off after the weekend...

Outcast LRP
I had a grand time.
That's despite an event I thought weaker, in a number of ways than the first one, and largely comes down to one IC lack of communication between a couple of groups on Saturday afternoon.

Maelstrom 2 - after-action report.
I'm back on 4 Maelstrom events this year - or at least I'm booked for 4. Part of this is that I enjoyed last year more than the previous couple,part of this was 'a cunning plan' I put together over the winter. Whichever way, it was justified this weekend.

Grey Ranks - the final chapter.
So last night we finished playing Grey Ranks - the indie RPG set in the Warsaw uprising of July - October 1944. The consensus amongst the five players was that it had been a success.

What did I do at the (long) weekend?
This is a likely to be a long posting - so long I shall probably split it into two. 'What did I do at the weekend?', and 'What did I discover at the weekend?'.
( The short is:- I went to Wales, watched rugby, had an excellent medieval banquet, and spent the next few days in gaol ) -
Tuesday night is games night! (and it has been for a long time)
...or there's the theory. In more recent times- 2008 and the first part of 2009 was my Armenian Ars Magica campaign. I had to put it on hold when my work workload became too high to be able to prepare the content for a weekly game.
