I've never understood why rituals weren't timed externally. It was a pain for logistics even ten years ago, and really, I'd be happier to suspend my disbelief on 'the Mage's guild can only hold the circle steady for 15 minutes at a stretch. This is your slot - we start it off at x time, at x+10 we ring a little bell, at x+14 we ring a big bell and at x+15 you all blow up.'

As a general point, your calm in the face of many slings and arrows of outrageous fortune is greatly to your credit.
I suppose it comes down to it being the responsibility of the ritualist to get it right. In this case he relied on sand timers, and got it wrong. There's a 10 minute window (15 minutes +- 5) which is pretty wide to hit. This one ran to 24.
As to calm, that's when it's typed out on a Tuesday - at times it wasn't so calm.
The track activity was fun (as was the trip to Birmingham wheels as a spectator a week before). Rumour has it that we are negotiating for another track activity to celebrate the end of the whole project - but the date we want may not be compatible with the recently upgraded venue's calendar.
Get yourself on the Jag mailing list, as they seem to send out invitations to something very similar on a regular basis. I've been once and ephraim's been twice now. Lots of fun.
I noticed the knackered glasses but assumed they were an old pair you used for larp in case they got knocked off or something. Sounds like you've had Clumsy following you around for a while now.
